George Israel Angus

George Israel Angus 07/06/34 – 12/25/10 George Israel Angus was born in Saint Catherine, Jamaica on July 6, 1934. He is the son of Israel Angus and Gwendolyn Dalhouse. As a young man, he attended Jericho Primary School. After graduating, he moved to Kingston and worked for the University of the West Indies as an accountant assistant. As a young adult, he worked as a manager at National Packaging Company in Kingston until he migrated to the United States. George migrated to New Jersey in 1981 to be with his family. In 1982, he moved to Florida and began working with Home Depot. After 27 years at Home Depot, he retired in July 2010. George relocated to St. Catherine, Jamaica where he planned to live the rest of his life. Unfortunately, he became ill and decided to return to the United States for medical treatment. On the morning of December 25, 2010 George passed away. Throughout his life, he was a loyal and faithful person to his family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers. He will always be remembered fondly with loving thoughts. He is mourned by a loving family; son Martin Angus, daughter Yvonne Angus-Smith, seven grandchildren, David Sanford, Adrian Angus, Terryann Cary, Daniel Angus, Martin Angus, Roslyn Smith, and Olivia Smith. George also leaves behind two great- grandchildren; Jason Cary and Asia Cary. George is survived by two siblings Samuel Lennox and Sephlin Hare. Also, he left behind a host of nephews, nieces, and friends who reside in the United States and Jamaica. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place 7:00 P.M.
