Mi vida comienza un 13 de Enero del año 2006 siendo un viernes en la noche, donde Dios, mami y papi trabajaron mucho para poder ser concebida, desde ese dia comienza mi vida, comienza mi deseo de vivir y de demostrarles a todos de que iba a ser una gran luchadora. El dia 9 de Octubre 2006 tuve la oportunidad de conocer el mundo y a parte de mi familia, vi los ojos de mi mami que desmayada y todo logro darme a luz, y desde alli comienza mi aventura en el mundo la cual 4 años, 4 meses, y 4 dias. Naci en el hospital Broward General en la Florida de los E.E.U.U., a las 10:19 am, mami siempre me decia que mis labios eran rojitos como frecitas y todo en si era bella yo. Estuvieron conmigo juntos a la hora de mi nacimiento mi tia Maribel, mi prima Fefa, mi tia Amparo, mis primos Veronica, Juan Camilo, Karen, Natalie, Aislin, y mi tio Harold, mi papi, mis abuelitos, y mis hermanitos Jonathan y Melanie estaban en Colombia. Estuve en mis primeros dias en casa de mis tios Harold y Amparo, viaje para Colombia con mami el 19 de Noviembre del 2006, donde me esperaban todos mis familiares. LLegamos a casa de tio Giovani y tia Sussy quienes nos hospedaron con mi papi durante unos dias, de alli viaje a Pereira a vivir con mis abuelitos por unos dias para luego vivir en Cali, mi abuelito me decia por cariño cejitas de oro ya que mis cejitas eran amarillas amarillas, era muy llorona, no me gustaba el sol despues de que me bañara, me gustaba mi compota, mi tetero, y la puchequa de mama hasta los 5 meses y medio ya que me supo feo, me gustaba comer el muslo de pollo, gateaba por toda la casa y mi nana Flor no podia dejarme. Camine exactamente el dia que cumpli mi primer añito, todos estaban felizes pero mas yo, me podia desplazar libremente por toda la casa, ya nadie me podia controlar, estaba libre de brazos que me ataran, por fin Flor y mi mami no podian cogerme, estaba feliz!, Flor y mis abuelitos me enseñaban tantas cosas que mami decide ingresarme a un jardin infantil y fue lo mejor para mi, conoci a muchos amiguitos, jugaba, corria, saltaba y aprendia. Ayudaba a cuidar a los mas bebesitos, les daba el tetero, los hacia dormir pero me gustaba siempre estar con los ninos mas grandes. Alli mami me celebro mis dos y mis tres añitos, me hizo una fiesta con un pastel muy grande. Casi que no aprendo a usar el baño, pero lo hice el dia que cumpli mis dos añitos,deje de usar pañal y comence a ser una niña grande, aunque mi mami me lo colocaba todas las noches para no mojar la cami y siempre peleaba con ella por que no me entendia, siempre estaba brava. Mi abuelito German le gustaba dormir en el sofa y yo le pegaba con el radio para despertarlo pues mi abue decia que la cama era para dormir y no el sofa, y mi mami me enseño que uno duerme en la noche, por eso le tenia que pegar a mi abuelito, mii Germancho me molestaba con el raton, hasta que un dia le dije al raton que se lo iba a llevar a el y no a mi. Con mi abu siempre hacia el rosario, me subia a su cama y le rezabamos a la virgen, siempre me gusto!. Mi abu me daba mi comida "mi huevito y mi milo", mami me peinaba con dos colitas para ir al colegio, algunas veces los domingos ibamos con Flor, mi abu, mi germancho, mi mami y mi prima natalia a montar caballito al centro comercial, me gustaba el brinca-brinca y por las noches cuando iba mi papi juaba al escondite y al futbol con el. El dia de las velitas encendi muchas velitas con mi papi, mi tio Giovanni, mi nana Flor y pipo (pipo es el novio de Flor, tambien lo queria mucho), en las noches Flor me colocaba las peliculas de mickey y de las princesas, tambien jugaba con mi mami a robarle la nariz, eso me gustaba mucho!!. Mi mami me dice un dia que vamos para Miami a visitar a Minnie en diciembre, yo me puse feliz y por eso mis hermanitos ymi papi me hacen la despedida en chipichape, ese dia jugamos y comi, fue un dia muy especial. Cuando llegue a Miami, estaba feliz, me esperaban todos mi primos, mi abu, mi tia y adiela ya que todos ibamos para Disney, en casa todos estaban contentos pues la "reina" osea yo habia llegado, mi tia fea (Maribel) estaba feliz con la sobrino que ella tiene "YO"...., mis primos y mi novio Carlos no dejaban de mi mimarme pues yo era la alegria de la casa, y asi este en el cielo lo seguire siendo, casi todas las noches veiamos peliculas y comiamos papas en shalsha. Por fin llego el dia de paseo y nos fuimos todos para Disney, al fin habia llegado el dia de conocer a mi Minnie, era tan linda!!!, el paseo fue espectacular, fueron los dias mas felices de mi vida, conoci el castillo de cenicienta, la casita de Minnie, fue un paseo y unos dias de nunca olvidar. Cuando volvimos a casa ya le tocaba irse a mi abu para colombia y ella me iba a esperar para cuando regresara, pero nunca fue asi... Mientras regresabamos a colombia mami y yo, mami decide llebarme unos dias a una guarderia para no aburrirme en casa y conocer otros ninos ya que todos en casa trabajaban y ya habia repetido las peliculas de Minnie y las princesas y ya estaba cansada de verlas, tan solo asisti dos dias ya que luego me enferme de una fiebre de la cual nunca me recupere, ya que el medico me descuido y me dejo en estado vegetal, ellos queria desconectarme porque necesitaria dialisis y traqueostomia, pero mi deseo por sobrevivir era unico y jamas necesite de eso, en mi lucha les demostre que abri mis ojitos y no necesite nada, comence mis terapias con deseo de levantarme y ser la misma, luche mucho ya que decaia muchas veces pero mi fuerza era grande, quize demostrarle a todos que era una nina luchadora y asi lo hice, con la lucha de grande angelitos que Dios puso en mi camino, mi Amber con su Peter y la abu, Sofia y su familia y Claudia, quien dia a dia estaban conmigo y se esmereban apoyandome con sus delicados cuidados, cada segundo de su apoyo fue vital para la llegada mi papi, quien estuvo conmigo hasta los ultimos de mi vida ayudando a mami. Cada noche que llegaba era YO quien en nuestra casa daba la energia, la fuerza y la fortaleza a mi tia, Fefa, y Vero ya que llegaban a darme sus oraciones, mimos y besos que me ayudaban a seguir viviendo. Mami y papi se encargaban de cuidarme en las noches, pero mi cuerpito ya estaba cansado, y es por eso que papito Dios me susurra al odio y decide llevarme a su jardin para alegrar a todos los que alla me esperan. Solo me espero encontrarme en el cielo con todos los que me amaron. Los Amo y les doy gracias de todo corazon por todo lo que me ayudaron. My life begins on January 13, 2006, a Friday night, where God, Mommy and Daddy worked hard for me to be conceived. On that day, my life and my desire to live and to show everyone that I would be a great fighter began. October 9th, 2006 I had the opportunity to meet the world and part of my family; I saw the fainting eyes of my mommy and everyone who managed to give me light, and from there began my adventure in the world lasting 4 years, 4 months and 4 days. I was born at Broward General Medical Center in Florida, USA, at 10:19am, mommy always said my lips were as red as strawberries and all in all I was beautiful. Together with me at my birth were my auntie Maribel, my cousin Fefa, my aunt Amparo, my cousins Veronica, Juan Camilo, Karen, Natalie, Aislin, and my uncle Harold; my daddy, my grandparents, and my brother and sister Jonathan and Melanie were in Colombia. My first days, I spent in the house of my aunt and uncle Harold and Amparo. I went back to Colombia with my mommy on November 19th 2006, where I was received by all my relatives. We arrived at uncle Giovani and auntie Sussy’s who took us in with my daddy for a few days, from there I went to Pereira to live with my grandparents, and then we moved to Cali. My grandpa always used to call me golden eyebrows, simply because they were very blonde. I was a bit of a crybaby because I didn't like the sun after I was bathed. I liked my baby food, my bottle, and my mommy’s milk up to 5 and a half months, after that it tasted yucky to me. I enjoyed eating chicken legs, crawling around the house and my nanny Flor could not leave me alone. I started walking exactly on the day of my 1st birthday, everyone was happy, but none more than me. I could finally move around the house freely, and now no one could contain me. I was free from everyone who could hold me down, even Flor and mommy, I was happy!!! Flor and my grandparents taught me so much that my mommy decided to enroll me into daycare which was the best thing for me. I made a lot of friends, and I played, ran, jumped, and learned a lot. I used to help take care of the little babies and help feed them their bottles and put them to sleep, but then, I would always choose to hang around with the older kids. There I celebrated my 2nd and 3rd birthdays; my mommy threw me parties with big cakes. I almost didn’t learn how to go to the potty, but I accomplished it on the day I turned 2. I stopped using diapers and started being a big girl, even though my mommy would still put one on me every night whenever I went to sleep so that I wouldn’t wet the bed. I would always fight with mommy because she didn’t understand me. My grandpa German would always fall asleep on the sofa and I would hit him with the radio to wake him up because my grandma always told me that the bed was for sleeping and the sofa was for sitting, and mommy taught me that you’re supposed to sleep at night, not during the day, so that’s why I had to hit him so he could learn too. My Grandpa would always threaten me with “the rat” until one day I told him that “the rat” was going to get him and not me. With my grandma, I would always pray the rosary, I would climb up on the bed and would pray to the Virgin Mary, I really enjoyed it. My grandma also used to give me some of my favorite foods like my eggs and chocolate milk. Mommy would do my hair in two little pigtails for school. Sometimes on Sundays we would go with Flor, mommy, grandma, grandpa (Germancho), and my cousin Natalia to ride the carrousel at the mall. I loved the trampoline and at nights when I would go visit Daddy we used to play hide and seek and soccer. To celebrate the Immaculate Conception I would light lots of candles with Daddy, my uncle Giovani, Flor and Pipo, Flor’s boyfriend, and I loved him a lot too! At night, Flor would put on my Mickey and princess movies, and I used to love playing with mommy and stealing each other’s noses. One day, Mommy told me that we were going to Miami to visit Minnie Mouse in December. I was so happy! My Daddy and siblings threw me a farewell party in Chipichape. That day, we played and ate. It was a very special day. When I got to Miami, I was so happy! My cousins, my grandma, my auntie and Adiela were waiting for me so we could all go to Disney! At home, everyone was so happy that “the queen” (I) had arrived! “My ugly Auntie” (Maribel) was so happy with her niece (me). My cousins and my boyfriend Carlos never stopped spoiling me since I was the joy of the house. And even though I’m in heaven, I will always be the joy of the house. Almost every night, we watched movies and ate chips with “shalsha”. Finally, the day arrived for us to go to Disney! Finally, I got to meet my Minnie!! She was so beautiful! The trip was spectacular! Those were the happiest days of my life! I got to see Cinderella’s castle, and Minnie’s house too! It was a trip I will never forget! When we got back, it was time to take my grandma back to Colombia, and she was going to wait for me to get back, but that never happened. While we were waiting to go back to Colombia, Mommy decided to enroll me in a daycare, because everyone at home worked and so I wouldn’t be bored at home and so I could meet other little kids because I was already tired of watching my Mickey and princess movies. I was only there for two days when I got sick from something I would never recover from. A doctor made a mistake and left me in a vegetative state. They all wanted to disconnect my machines because they said I would need dialysis and a tracheostomy to live. However, my will to survive was unique and I never needed any of that. In my fight, I showed everyone that I could open my eyes without any help. I started my therapies with the desire to get up and go back to how I was before. I fought so much, even though I had a lot of setbacks, but I had a lot of strength. I wanted to show everyone that I was a fighter, and I did. With the help of the angels God put in my path, my Amber, her Peter, her grandma, Sofia and her family, and Claudia, who were with me every day and who helped and supported me with their delicate care. Every second of their support was vital to help me get to see my Daddy. He came to visit me and stayed until the last days of my life, helping Mommy. Every night, I gave everyone in our home energy and strength in return for my auntie, Fefa and Veronica’s prayers. Their prayers, love and kisses helped me to stay alive. Mommy and Daddy were in charge of taking care of me at nights, but my little body was getting tired. That’s why God decided to take me to His Garden and to everyone who waited for me in heaven. I wait in hope to see everyone again who loved me. I give a lot of thanks and love to everyone who helped me with all my heart.
