Bertha Estelle Richards

Bertha Estelle Richards 80, passed away on Monday February 21, 2012. She was on born September 18, 1931 in Malden, Massachusetts. Shortly thereafter she moved to Andover, Massachusetts graduating from Punchard High School in 1948. She married Arthur William Richards of Lawrence Massachusetts in 1951. Together they started and grew several small businesses in diverse markets ranging from Construction to Restaurants. Eventually they relocated to the Colonies of Margate in Margate, Florida in 1978. When Arthur passed in 1993 she moved to Holiday Springs in Margate, FL where she nutured a thriving network of comraderie and friendship with the residents. She will be deeply missed by family and friends from Florida to Massachusetts to Prince Edward Island. She is survived by her two sons Steve and Ronald, her daughter-in-laws Angela and Catherine, her three grandchildren Kaelan, Michael, and Tuesday, and one great-grandchild Onalee. A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 23, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, located directly across the street from Northwest Medical Center on 441 south of Sample Road, 2950 North State Road 7 Margate, Fl 33063, 954.977.5244. Burial will take place at 10:30 A.M. Friday, February 24, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven in North Lauderdale.
