Donna L. Rodriguez

Donna L. Rodriguez was born August 17, 1948 in the small town of Stephenville, Texas to Jaime and Jo Mendoza. At age 5 she moved to La Paz, Bolivia where she attended High school. She loved to play sports and was involved in the school’s basketball and volleyball teams as well as cheerleading and was a majorette. Donna was always active in the kitchen, whether making regular everyday dinners, baking birthday cakes or making unforgettable holiday meals. Her career as a loan officer for Barnett Bank, Bank of America, and Bank Atlantic and her life attitude made her an amazing grandmother, wife, mother, sister, aunt, daughter and friend. One of her favorite stories involved her driving Bolivia’s “most dangerous” road on her way to the mines. The same fearless attitude that enabled her to drive that road led the way for the rest of the family; she was the heart of the family a true fighter who never gave up. Donna leaves behind her loving Husband Arturo Rodriguez, her three son Ricardo & Nikki Rodriguez, David & Consuela Rodriguez, Jimmy & Pamela Rodriguez, Father Jaime Mendoza, Sisters Becky and Rolando Tapia, Vicky and Ebert Tapia, and Brenda and Roberto Salmon, and daughter in law Ines Rodriguez, Grandchildren Lya, Marcus, Donna, Nico several nieces & nephews and other family and friends. Donna is preceded in death by her mother Dorothy Jo Mendoza. A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
