Clark, Dorothy L. It is with a heavy heart that the family of Dorothy "Dot" Clark announces her passing after a brief illness, on Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at the age of 83 years. Dot will be lovingly remembered by her children William Jr., Lisa, and her son-in-law Mike. Her six grandchildren, Bradford, Holly, Danielle, Elise, Joseph, and Katie, as well as, her extended family and dear friends will also fondly remember dot. Her loving husband, William A. Clark, Sr. and son Bradford predeceased dot. A native of Massachusetts, Dot graduated from Mount Ida Junior College and then secretarial school. She enjoyed showing her horse, American Royal, at Boston Gardens winning several blue ribbons. Dot and Bill relocated to Florida in 1985, where she began her career as a secretary with the City Of Plantation. During her tenure, she worked in the Mayor's office and for the Director of Plantation Parks and Recreation. Dot was very active and served on the boards of numerous organizations, including the Park City Homeowners Association where she served several years as Treasurer and Secretary. Dot loved life, her children, and grandchildren. Over the years, Dot loved to line dance, play shuffleboard, go to the beach, play cards, tiles, and spend quality time with her close friends, including the ladies from Les Club. Dot, Mom and Nana will be dearly missed. A celebration of Dot’s life will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at 6 p.m. at the Savino-Weissman Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Bergstrom officiating.
