Ernest Anthony Castro, 63, of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at West Boca Medical Center. Ernie was born in Brooklyn, New York on October 17, 1947. He was the first of 5 wonderful children to Mary and Thomas Castro. Ernie was an ambitious man that graduated college with a PHD in business and continued to live his life with the same motivation. Ernie moved to South Florida in 1985 with a very special person, not only to him but to all of us, Tom Rigney. The motivation of life was kept strong with Ernie catering to it, (whether it was his wonderful cooking or his unconditional love), and Tom keeping the party going. Ernie was preceded in death by his intelligent and much loved father, Thomas Castro and his beloved and very much adored partner, Tom Rigney. He is survived by one of the strongest women we all know, his mother Mary Castro, along with his siblings, Rosemary, Thomas, Joseph and Carol. He is also survived by great nieces and great nephews. To all of us his time seems short, but we all know that he had great times, great family, great friends, great memeories and of all things the greatest love from all. There will not be one person in his life who won't think of him during good meals (with his natural gift of cooking), special occasions, holidays, and without a doubt cruises!!! With our loss we also gain something...another guardian angel to watch over us. He will be missed in our minds, but will never be lost from our hearts. A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place on Monday, May 30, 2011, Memorial Day, from 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Savino-Weissman Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
