Marie Frances Scoca

Marie Frances Scoca, 64, of Coconut Creek, Florida passed away on January 1, 2011 under Vitas care at Florida Medical Center. Life Legacy of Marie Scoca (1946-2011) Marie’s life was all about her cats, her close friends and family. Marie was an only child and had many challenges in her short life, mostly health related issues. She had contracted polio as a young child and was diagnosed with lupus, diabetes and some heart related problems later in life. Her parents were divorced when she was very young. She was raised by her father and “Aunt Rose” (who adopted Marie in 2007) as her own daughter. Marie was married for a short period of time but had no children. Marie had two half sisters that she had little or no contact with until age 50. Marie loved to entertain, especially creating themed parties which included matching the ambiance with the food, music and drink. She was an excellent cook and had an extensive library of recipes she enjoyed making. Marie loved attending plays and was a movie aficionado which accounts for her extensive library of DVDS and VHS. She also had an extensive vinyl record and CD collection. In her later years, Marie spent many hours on the computer and one of her greatest strengths was her ability to catalogue and organize everything in her house. Marie and Aunt Rose loved to travel and made photographic records of their trips together. After Aunt Rose’s death in 2007, Marie’s health declined. Marie looked forward to the time she would be reunited with deceased Family members in a kinder place where there would be no more pain and no more tears. Rest in Peace Marie.
