Sundaria Doreen Ramgoolam

Sundaria Doreen Ramgoolam, also known to everyone as Tantie. She was born and raised in Tacarigua,Trinidad. She then got married and took the motherly responsibility and ownership of 3 small children Bab's, Margaret and Michael in which she took care of them like her own. Shortly after, she had her daughter, Leela. With all the challenges that life can bring she always had a smile for all. As the years passed her love for her family grew more and more strong. Her love in life was to watch her beloved family grow and succeed. Tantie always inspired and encouraged the younger ones to stay focused in their education, telling them to keep a positive and peaceful mind. At a young age, she dedicated her life into taking care of her siblings. Tantie was known to many for her cooking, she loved to bake and was always the one in charge of making all the food for special occasions, though everyone enjoyed her Black Cake and Parsad the most. Tantie love to sew and design any and everything. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren will remember her for the many nightgowns, summer dresses, and indian wear she sewed. She even sewed her own daughters wedding dress. She was gifted by her unique style in sewing, her love for her siblings and children, and her beautiful well maintained, flower garden, which everyone admired. Many admired the flower garden that Tantie took much pride in creating, and still do this day. Flowers had become her signature symbol of her positive and optimistic view of life. Tantie leaves behind the family she held together through out the years. She will be missed and will always be in our thoughts, remembering her dream: To hold the family together through thick and thin, and remembering the real importance in life. Family.
