Vicky Pivitsiripakde

Vorolak "Vicky" Pivitsiripakde, 22, of Apex, NC passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2014. Born on September 13, 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand to Pisit Pivitsiripakde and Sarisa Denkijkul. Vicky and her mother relocated to Atlanta, GA in 1997. After her mother married, the new family moved to Miami and Denver before settling in the Raleigh, NC area. Vicky was due to graduate from Meredith College in the Spring with a major in Chemistry and a minor in English. Her passion was music, especially guitar, and she was a budding poet. A young, introspective woman, Vicky was an avid reader. She often spoke of adopting children later in life to help those less fortunate. Vicky was also proud to be a secondary caregiver to her younger siblings. Vicky had a history of medical problems but that did not stop her from living a normal life. For Christmas, the family decided to travel to Coral Springs to visit aunts and uncles. It was during this trip, she suddenly fell ill and subsequently passed away. Her death was a shock to her family and friends. Her love and light will live on in those who knew her. Vicky is survived by her mother and step-father, Sarisa and Chuck Cordell; her siblings, Taylor and Amanda; grandparents, Ron and Norma Cordell; and her father, Pisit Pivitsiripakde. Also left to cherish her memory are her aunts and uncles, Douglas (Teresa) Cordell, Jason Cordell, Lisa Cordell, “Mama” Sompis Polponwiton and “Papa” Sakchai Polpornvitoon; and her cousins, Elisa Cordell, Rachel Russell, Lauren Cordell, Chris (Karla) Cordell, Jack - Panlop Polponwiton, Cherry - Pattama Poolpan, Tim - Naklop Polpornvitoon, Amm - Srita Usamanont, Jay - Wanlop Phonphornwithoon, Joy - Vimonrat Phonphornwithoon, James - Veeralop Phonpornwithoon, Joe - Pollop Phonpornwithoon, Air - Slila Usamanont and Jane - Phennatda Polpornvitoon. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 1, 2014 at Coral Springs Funeral Home, 1420 N. University Drive, Coral Springs, FL 33071. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations in Vicky's memory to assist with research efforts at Meredith College.
